Employment Law – Tribunal Fees – Redundancy – Dismissal   

 

As from today, workers will face tribunal fees of up to £1,200 for bringing employment tribunal claims against employers in the employment tribunal.

 

  • Claimants who issue claims against their employers for relatively simple matters such as the non-payment of wages in the employment tribunal are required to pay a fee of £160. If the claim proceeds to a hearing there will be a further fee of £230.
  • For other matters, such as unfair dismissal or discrimination, there will be an initial fee of £250, with a further £950 if the matter proceeds to a hearing.
