UKIPO Launches New On-line Patent Service

The UKIPO has launched a new web-based service which allows anyone interested in filing a Form 23 and obtaining copies of documents on a patent file (open to public inspection) to make a request and receive electronic documents.  The UK IPO will send uncertified copies of documents to customers as a PDF file via email.

The UK IPO plans to follow up with a further web-filing service which will allow customers to file a selection of forms and documents electronically after the patent filing date. http://www.ipo.gov.uk/press-release-20080125
