‘I had the privilege of working with Dr. Rosanna Cooper during a particularly challenging time in my academic journey as an MPharm student. After failing the OSCE exam due to not being given a fair reasonable adjustment, my Extenuating Circumstances (EC) claim and Stage One academic appeal were unjustly denied. To make matters worse, my request for a review at Stage Two was also refused by the university, leaving me feeling hopeless and unfairly treated. However, Dr. Cooper’s exceptional guidance and expertise made all the difference.
She approached my case with a strict and strong demeanor, combining comprehensive legal knowledge with a deep understanding of academic law. Her professionalism was evident from the start, but what truly set her apart was her ability to balance this with unwavering encouragement and sympathetic support. Dr. Cooper’s approach was not only thorough but also empowering. She ensured that every aspect of my appeal was meticulously prepared and argued, leaving no room for error. Her extraordinary legal assistance ultimately led to my Stage Two appeal being justified.
After successfully handling my academic appeal, Dr. Cooper continued to support me through the process of filing a complaint with the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) regarding the university’s mishandling of my case. Thanks to her efforts, the OIA found my complaint justified, which was a significant relief and validation of my concerns.
What impressed me most about Dr. Cooper was not just the outcome, but the lessons I learned from her along the way. Her character, marked by both strength and compassion, left a lasting impression on me. She demonstrated how professionalism and empathy can go hand in hand, and I am genuinely grateful for her guidance. Dr. Cooper is an extraordinary advocate, and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of expert legal assistance in academic matters’. Alfomo
Second year Masters of Pharmacy programme (‘MPharm’) student excluded from course due to failure of resit - first appeal was unsuccessful - RT Coopers advised on evidence that needed to be adduced - held audio to elicit background to the case and to particularise the grounds of appeal - drafted appeal on grounds of mitigating circumstances - appeal upheld.
Second time around, the MPharm student was repeating the year as previous appeal was upheld after exclusion from the course. The student passed all exams and coursework including end of year written exams and end of year coursework and failed the viva for the Personal Professional Development (‘PPD’) Portfolio and the counselling component of the Fundamentals of Practice. As the student failed the two components of the PPD Portfolio, the student was asked to repeat the year. RT Coopers drafted the second appeal on grounds of Exceptional Circumstances. The appeal was upheld. Student returned to University having progressed to year 3, without having to repeat year 2. First published in Google Business Profile Reviews
'Dr Cooper gave incredible advice on my appeal and her knowledge and understanding of how the system works is top notch. My appeal was upheld which I am deeply grateful for. Thank you so much Rosanna. Would 1000% recommend. This is an edit as this is the second time I have used Rosanna's service, she was just as professional as the first time around if not more, the appeal seemed like too much of an ask but she managed to pull it off again and I could not be more grateful. Her expertise is unmatched.' JR
General Pharmaceutical Council (‘GPhC’) pre-registration assessment – MPharm student sat and failed three attempts of the GPhC pre-registration assessment. By the time RT Coopers was instructed, the MPharm student had exhausted all further attempts of the pre-registration assessment. With the initial information/evidence presented to RT Coopers in support of the appeal, there was only a slim chance of success, which was conveyed to the MPharm student. RT Coopers conducted an in-depth analysis of the case and held audios with the MPharm student. RT Coopers determined from the analysis of the case that there were Exceptional Circumstances upon which the MPharm student could rely. The MPharm student agreed to work hard to obtain the evidence as the chances of success were slim without such evidence. Having worked tirelessly with the student, RT Coopers was able to unearth grounds upon which to appeal, particularise the grounds of appeal and draft an outstanding appeal. The appeal was submitted to the GPhC and upheld. The GPhC decided that previous attempts of pre-registration assessment would be nullified. First Published in Google Business Profile Reviews
Amazing outcome especially as the chances of success were initially slim!.
'RT Coopers Solicitors are a brilliant law firm that I would highly recommend. Dr Rosanna Cooper was in charge of my case. My hopes to appeal against a result was not particularly favourable at first however with Dr Cooper help, knowledge and perseverance she was able to carefully articulate a suitable plan of action for me to take on such short notice. The plan enabled me to be more optimistic about my chance to appeal. I truly appreciate the human nature Dr Cooper showed during the entire process as well as her professionalism. Overall I would definitely recommend RT Coopers especially to students who believe all is lost because there still may be a glimmer of hope. Edit: I am pleased to announce that my appeal was finally accepted and I would like to thank Dr Rosanna Cooper again for the support and encouragement during my ordeal'. Adnan Khan

Second year MPharm student unjustly withdrawn from University - RT Coopers were instructed after the OIA ruled the case was unjustified to review the case and advise on the merits of the case - on thorough investigation RT Coopers unearthed a number of procedural irregularities in the handling of the academic appeal and complaint to the OIA - RT Coopers wrote a substantive letter to the University - Mr Chahal was able to re-join the MPharm course after some time away from the University - - first published on Google My Business
'I had a faultless experience in terms of professionalism with RT Coopers. All hope seemed lost until Dr Cooper took over my case (after I had used a previous academic solicitor without success) and turned it around. She worked tirelessly and went above and beyond to dissect my rather complicated case into minute detail to ensure a positive result for me. I am now able to resume my MPharm degree. The only academic solicitors I would recommend'. Charanpreet Chahal
Final year Pharmacy MPharm (Hons) student excluded after 5 years of studying pharmacy - accused of academic misconduct - extremely harsh penalty as this was a minor examination incident - university had wrongly interpreted its regulations on academic misconduct – university took a tough stance – by the time RT Coopers were instructed it seemed that there was no chance of obtaining the MPharm - following face to face consultation with student to particularise the grounds of appeal - RT Cooper drafted stage 2 academic appeal against Panel's decision on grounds of procedural irregularities and extenuating circumstances – RT Coopers guided the student to escalate the case as there were other factors that had to be explored at a higher level within the university in case such factors had impacted on the decision of the Panel – RT Coopers continued to provide guidance and support throughout the whole process (sometimes it seemed bleak) – eventually the university changed its regulation as a direct result of this case in order to allow the student to have a final attempt at the exam in question (unprecedented) - registration to the GPhC was also reinstated - Passed retake exam and looking forward to becoming a pharmacist! - first published in Google Business Profile Reviews
'I would like to give a personal testimonial for the excellent service I received from RT Coopers. I met Rosanna after I spoke with several solicitors. seeking legal help regarding my situation with the University. With all the other solicitors/barristers I felt belittled by them but not with Rosanna Cooper. Rosanna and her team made me feel welcome. She understands me so perfectly that I feel she knew me for many years. Although Rosanna was friendly, she always remained professional. Her attitude towards my case was honest and professional. Despite the difficulties of my case and after the rejection of my appeal by the University, Rosanna offered support and faith. From a situation where the University decision was to terminate my Registration, Rosanna transformed it into a successful appeal. She worked exceptionally hard and paid attention to every small detail of my situation my registration was re-in-stated. There were times when I rang Rosanna out of hours, but she was always on hand to listen and encourage. I strongly recommend RT Coopers to students as I know they will not only make you feel welcome and important, through hard work and determination, you will have a greater chance of winning your case. Rosanna was an angel. Thank you so much Rosanna and God Bless You’. Iyare Evbuomwan.
Third year MPharm student. Failed Assessment on three attempts and excluded from university. Mo appealed against decision. Appeal rejected. Held consultation with Mo via audio to particularise the grounds of appeal - RT Coopers advised and assisted student during audio in particular in connection with the new evidence that had to be adduced and drafted a fresh academic appeal on grounds of extenuating circumstances. Student readmitted to MPharm course as appeal was successful
'Dr Rosanna Cooper and her team were brilliant. They dragged me kicking and screaming through a lengthy complicated appeal process. No stone was left unturned and such fine attention to detail paid off with a successful result. We recommend them highly without any hesitation. Thanks'. Mo

'Like most appeal cases, when I was faced with my daughter’s appeal against a British University, I had a strict deadline and as it was the tail end of summer most solicitors were either on holiday or not available. RT Cooper’s response was swift, and despite its own ongoing workload the firm organised my appeal very quickly and in a very professional manner. At the outset it made its plan of action and costing very clear, and its compliance with SRA’s obligations were made very transparent. I must say that to date I have not even met the members of the team; all of my work was conducted over the internet- the firm is very versatile and works very diligently to deadlines. Rosanna’s pleasant but firm, determined and decisive approach is most inspiring, especially when you feel like throwing in the towel. I am glad that I chose RT Coopers to appeal my daughter’s case, I felt confident and motivated and we were successful! I will have no hesitation in recommending RT Coopers to any of my friends and colleagues. Many Thanks.' RS
MPharm student was unable to complete the GPhC registration assessment due to failure of the resit – there were extenuating circumstances existing at the time of the resit which were not made known to the GPhC – RT Coopers were instructed to write to the GPhC around 3 years’ later to request reconsideration of the decision as the student had failed to appeal the decision at the time – RT Coopers wrote to the GPhC and the GPhC (i) allowed a suspension of the time limits stipulated in the Registration Assessment Regulations; (ii) an annulment of the result of the resit; (iii) the appeal to be reinstated; (iv) the GPhC held that the student had now met the requirements of the Registration Assessment Regulations for the original appeal to be upheld and for an extension of the period in which the initial training and education of a pharmacist must be completed and, as a result, the student was granted an extension of one year to complete a further six months training placement and one further attempt at the registration assessment
‘From day one Rosanna has been helpful and sympathetic towards my case. When I left messages RT Coopers used to get back with a response and was able to contact out of business hours when necessary. The firm prepared my appeal to the GPhC 3 years later. I was very happy with the way RT Coopers managed my case and the service they provided I finally thank all the staff especially Rosanna for her support. Hence I definitely recommend RT Coopers’.
